graduated from Cholla High School in Tucson, AZ in May 1998.
started his college career in August 1998 as an honors student at the University of Arizona majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Classics. Sherif graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Honors in May 2002.
performed full-time breast cancer research to understand mechanisms that regulate the transcriptional activity of BRCA-1 tumor suppressor, as well as understanding mechanisms involved in acquiring hotspot p53 mutations.
started graduate school in August of 2004 in the Cancer Biology Graduate Interdisciplinary Program at the University of Arizona. His work, in Dr. Meuillet's lab, focused on understanding some of the DCA-induced mechanisms in colon cancer.
defended his dissertation on Friday, April 17th, 2009... making him Sherif Morgan, Ph.D.
currently working in a very dynamic environment that allows him to multi-task several translational research projects focusing on melanoma and sarcoma.
